** NEW CLASS** BEGINNING KNITTING
You will learn the skills needed to complete basic projects including scarves, blankets, shawls, and ponchos. Topics covered include understanding gauge, casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, various stitch patterns, reading a pattern and binding off. Taught by expert knitter & family farm owner ( Stony Creek Farmstead), Kate Marsiglio. Wool from her farm will also be available for purchase.
Class Details: Two 2-hour sessions on Saturday, March 16 & 23. The 2 week course is $75.00. Class size limited to 8 students so register soon! You can register in-store. More details coming soon!

January Sewing Classes

Meet Your Sewing Machine - $50
This 2 hour workshop will get you comfortable threading a machine, winding a bobbin, and using a machine to make basic straight or zig zag stitches. Choose 1 session: Sat, Jan 5th 9:30-11:30am or Tues, Jan 29th 7 – 9pm or Sat, Feb 2nd, 9:30 – 11:30 am

Intro To Home Sewing – $120
This class teaches you how to cut out a pattern, follow pattern instructions, and construct a garment. You’ll walk away from the 3 week course with 2 items made by you: choice of a tote bag and a drawstring skirt or pajama pant. Choose 1 series: Mondays, Jan 7, 14, & 21, 7-9pm or Saturdays, Jan 12, 19, 26, 9 – 11am

Intermediate Sewing – $120
This class is for students with some sewing experience and will focus on garment construction with pockets, zippers, sleeve placement, and/or button holes such as a shift or shirt dress or button down shirt.
Wednesdays, January 16, 23, 30, 7-9 pm

Tailoring & Alterations – $120
We’ll turn you into your own personal tailor. Each class is different depending on what garments are brought in but examples of past projects are hemming pants/skirts, replacing a zipper, and letting a garment out or in. Some previous sewing experience is helpful. Sunday, January 13, 20, 27 9:30 – 11:30 am

Parent & Child Sewing – $200 (one parent and one child)
This is a private sewing class so we can tailor the projects to you and your child’s interest and sewing skills. Examples of possible projects are doll clothes, pillows, or simple garment construction.
Saturdays, January 12, 19, 26, 11:30 – 1 pm
