This beginner level class will get you comfortable with sewing from a home sewing pattern. (Student must have ability to thread sewing machine prior to starting class.) This class teaches you how to cut out a pattern, make sense of the instructions, and construct a finished item. You’ll walk away from this course with a completed tote bag made entirely by you. The sewing pattern used in class is yours to keep for future projects.

For this class you will need to supply: (All fabric should be washed and pre-shrunk)

Tote: 3⁄4 yard heavier-weight fabric for outside of bag and 1⁄2 yard lighter-weight cotton fabric for inside lining of bag, matching thread.

Limited notions (zippers, thread, pins, etc) are available at Owl & Thistle at an additional charge.
